The Human MRI core facility provides clinical whole-body size magnetic resonance scanners (three 3T scanners and one 7T scanner) as well as a hyperpolarization device (SPINLab) for human research in the fields of (i) neuroimaging, (ii) cardiac and body imaging, (iii) musculoskeletal imaging, (iv) metabolic imaging, (v) large animal imaging and (vi) MRI technology development. The main areas of application are basic neuroscience and physiology and clinical trials with respect to primary diagnostics, treatment response, or disease progression.
