The Cancer Cell Imaging Core (CCIC) at UT Southwestern is dedicated to advancing cancer research through state-of-the-art imaging technologies. Built upon a foundation of nationally recognized expertise in optics, molecular biology, and computational science, the CCIC streamlines the entire tissue imaging process—from antibody validation and sample preparation to light-sheet and expansion microscopy, cyclic multiplexed imaging, and live tissue studies. These capabilities enable researchers to probe tumor biology at scales ranging from whole tissues down to near-molecular resolution, offering new insight into how cells adapt, interact, and respond to therapy. By integrating automated imaging, robotics, and powerful cloud-based analysis pipelines, the CCIC provides cancer researchers with unprecedented access to quantitative, in situ visualization of cellular states and interactions—bridging the gap between discovery and translational impact.
